I've had a similar setup as yours (X1+F1+mixer), but my mixer only had 3 channels, but as the F1 has dedicated volume faders a 3 channel soundcard/3 channel mixer will do the job. First of all you have to decide how many channels you need. you buy the X1 and a soundcrad first, then add the F1 later, maybe you decide 2 decks are enough, you haven't spend the money unnecessarily on a remix deck setup, decide you want to do remix decks later? Buy the F1 and you have lost nothing.Įssentially any soundcrad (as well as built-in interfaces in mixers) are supported by traktor (Note: Dieffernce between Traktor and Traktor Scratch).
